It’s a new name and new attitude for Rev Theory, formerly Revelation Theory. The band, now a five-piece with the addition of a second guitarist, is still firmly entrenched in the hard rock world, but the energy and adrenaline of Light It Up, their sophomore full-length release, are light years beyond 2005’s Truth Is Currency. It’s evident as soon as the fists-in-the-air anthem “Hell Yeah” blasts out of the speakers, followed by the determined stomp of “Favorite Disease” and the rousing title track.
